Catapluf - Workshops in Scotland

 7th-10th Catapluf Workshops in Scotland.

Commissioned by the #EFG London Jazz Festival, Catapluf's Musical Journey is a new work by multi-instrumentalist Adriano Adewale. Adriano and the Festival's Learning team worked in partnership in the run-up to the Festival to develop a concert for families and children aged 5-7 featuring Catapluf, a character whose imagination travels to places where everything is music; saucepans, water, drums and even the body! The performances played to sold-out audiences of delighted children and adults during the #EFG London Jazz Festival 2013.

The 50-minute show is packed full of music from every corner of the globe and loads of ideas to take back to the classroom and featured #JennyAdejayan on cello, #MarceloAndrade and #GiulianoPereira both on saxophone, flute and guitar, #AndresTicino on percussion and #AdrianoAdewale on -- saucepans and everything else!
Catapluf’s Musical Journey includes samba, jazz, klezmer and plenty of audience participation.
This event is part of #EFG London Jazz Festival, the capital's biggest pan-city music festival, taking place annually in November, which has long been acclaimed for showcasing a heady mix of talent from around the world. Widely acknowledged for delivering world-class artists and emerging stars, the Festival continues to take jazz to a massive audience, in one of UK's landmark music events. The festival is produced by Serious, one of the UK’s leading producers and curators of live jazz, international and new music.
